5 Main Tricks I’ve Learned After Studying 1000s of Sales Team

Amigos, you'll never guess what the latest trend is in the technology world. And no, I'm not talking about another iPhone that needs a mortgage to buy, or another social media app that's going to steal more of our time.

• This time it's all about AI girlfriends. Yes, you heard me right. Who needs a real girlfriend when you can pay for an AI one, right?

Now, you might be thinking, "What's this AI girlfriend business all about?" Well, let me introduce you to Caryn Marjorie. She's an influencer on Snapchat, and she's just launched an AI version of herself, CarynAI. Now, I've seen some wild business ideas in my time, but this one takes the cake.

• CarynAI is not just any old AI. She's a virtual girlfriend, and she's raking in the big bucks. She made $71,000 in one week! Let's just take a moment to let that sink in. I mean, I'm struggling to sell my second-hand car for $2,000, and here she is, making more than 35 times that amount in seven days. From a robot!

Now, I don't know about you, but when I think about a girlfriend, I think about someone who can laugh at my jokes, even when they're terrible. Someone who can comfort me when I've had a rough day, and someone who won't judge me when I want to eat pizza for breakfast. But hey, who am I to judge? If people are willing to pay for an AI girlfriend, more power to them.

• The part that gets me, though, is the pricing. Apparently, fans are paying $1 per minute to have CarynAI as their virtual girlfriend. I mean, I've heard of expensive dates, but this is next level. I once took a girl out for a fancy dinner and the bill came to $100. I thought I was being extravagant. But at this rate, that's only an hour and 40 minutes with CarynAI. And she doesn't even eat!

And folks, the best part is, CarynAI has more than 1,000 “boyfriends.” I can barely handle one relationship, and here she is, managing a thousand. I mean, talk about multitasking.

• Caryn Marjorie estimates she could eventually bring in $5 million a month from her chatbot. Now, as someone in sales and marketing, I'm looking at this and I'm thinking, "Why didn't I think of that?"

But then I remember, I can't even remember my own phone number half the time, let alone program an AI version of myself. The closest I've come to AI is setting a reminder on my phone to buy milk. And even then, I usually forget to look at the reminder.

So, let's all raise a glass to Caryn Marjorie and her AI girlfriend. May she continue to confuse us all with her entrepreneurial genius, and may we all continue to wonder why we didn't think of it first.

• 90% of sales is copywriting.

Copywriting is all about capturing attention. Capturing attention is about clarity and simplicity. A good attention-grabber in 3 sentences is better than a great attention grabber in 100 sentences. Copywriting is the best sales training available.

• A problem well stated is a problem half solved.

Sales means solving problems. Don't worry whether you are using MEDDPIC, BANT, SPIN, or SANDLER. You think the methodology you use is what closes deals. It's not. Just pick one. Then, learn how to problem-solve.

• Pipeline cures all ills.

Your pipeline is your insurance plan. Pipeline gives you the power to experiment down the funnel and make mistakes. Get your top-of-funnel process down before tweaking anything mid or bottom-funnel. That's the key.
