Marketing to the Mile-High Club: When Sales Soar Higher than Today's Youth!

You ever notice how EVERYTHING is getting 'high' nowadays? Even your website analytics! (Just me? Okay, moving on…)

I mean, we're LIVING in the golden age of 'taking off'. Forget rocket ships, we’ve got cannabis and psychedelic roller coasters now! And to be honest, with the way 2023 is looking, who wouldn’t want a little ESCAPE?

So, I was reading this study from the University of Michigan. And no, I wasn’t HIGH when I read it... (or was I?)

Turns out, 44% of young adults aged 19–30 had a lil' "herbal refreshment" in the past year. I’m picturing that age group and thinking… “Man, those were the days when marketing meant passing notes in class!” And for the 35-50 crowd? 28% are lighting up. Probably thinking, “Maybe THIS will help me understand TikTok!”

By the way, let’s give a quick shoutout to the 11% of young adults who seem to be on a consistent cannabis subscription box. 20 days in a month? That's some impressive commitment! I wish my email open rates had that consistency. BOOM! Sales and marketing joke. Told you I got you!

BUT, wait... there's more! Psychedelics are on the rise too. 8% of young adults are now dabbling with MDMA and shrooms. Remember when the wildest thing we did was... dare I say it… try a new email marketing platform?!

Remember this, folks. We’re in a world where laws are relaxing, views are shifting, and people are looking for some, um, 'alternate reality'. And in this changing landscape, guess what remains the same? Our job to MARKET and SELL through the haze.

Just think, next time you’re pitching that flashy new marketing campaign, toss in a free pair of shades. Because the future's so BRIGHT, we gotta... medicate?
